Biography

hey-thanks for checking out my page. i play piano and compose music for solo piano. i started playing piano at age 10 and improvising/composing since i was 13, and i'm 37 now and still doing it. or it's still doing me-not sure which. i write music about my feelings, my passions, my relationships, whatever is going on in my life. my music is a journey through my life. last year i gave a concert at Hidden Valley (a pretty big performing arts venue) of my new music as well as a few favorite older pieces, and the CD of that concert, as well as a previous concert CD, are now available. contact me for info...Tori Amos is my biggest influence, and she once said something about how you get so into the song that the piano plays you. i love that and can totally relate. when i'm playing a song and am really into it, i become one with the piano and it's like whatever the song is about is right there on the piano. it's an incredible experience! anyway, hope you like my music. til next time...Anna
